JUNIOR WILD WORK AWARD

The Junior Wild Work Award is a place-based nature education project for primary schools. It will promote nature connectedness and positive actions for biodiversity and empower children to be Nature Champions in their communities. The project will build the capacity of teachers in nature-based learning; and engage with local volunteers to build community networks.

Participants will:

  • use the Junior Wild Work online Toolkit to build knowledge and understanding of biodiversity in the Irish and global context;
  • carry out a variety of actions in their school, home and community to enhance and protect nature; and
  • participate in outdoor, nature-based experiences with the Wild Work team and ambassadors from the local community.
